This season the EPL has been much more competitive as compared to its previous years, which makes it difficult to predict which club will get to the number one spot. This season too is quite interesting just like every other season of the EPL and perhaps even more so. Arsenal
This club finished as runners-up in the last season of the EPL. In this season, they are playing very well and have the potential to win the English Premier League owing to their excellent performance. While so many other clubs around them are changing, Arsenal is constant and stable in terms of their manager and squad.
However, Arsenal has been in this position before too and Arsene Wenger failed the last time to grab this great opportunity. So, it can be possible that history can repeat itself this time too. But, Arsenal is a mainstay of the top four teams of the Premier League. The team always maintains its position in the elite and tries to push harder every time to get to the next level, while seriously putting a hard challenge for the title.
Moreover, with the early big-money signing of Granit Xhaka, it might be the season when Wenger can win the league title in his contract’s final year. Arsenal, which currently holds the 3rd place in the Premier League, is predicted to finish in the fourth place this season.
Tottenham
Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham has become a formidable team, one that is defensively strong, works extremely hard, and puts a real threat to the goal. Last season, this club pushed Leicester for the title before they fell away late on and eventually finished in the third spot.
However, through this process they gained a lot of respect. The club has a hugely gifted manager as Pochettino, who can bring more success to the team. The team can repeat the title challenge of the last season,wherein it finished in the third place.
Manchester City
Although, Manchester City has less chances of winning the title this season, it is currently in the top 5 teams of the English Premier League. The club has fewer chances because Guardiola’s ideas will take some time to adapt, which can steal the title from him.
However, the former coach of Bayern Munich and Barcelona demands the best from his players.This ensures that the squad, which has consistently underachieved, can deliver a better performance this time, along with spectacular signings this year. Manchester City, which is currently at the top, is predicted to finish in the second place this season.
Chelsea
Although, Chelsea ended up at the10thspot in the previous season of the Premier league, in the current season they are one of the top 5 teams. The new manager of Chelsea, AntonioConte, showed his fine tactics at Euro 2016, depicting that he can bring out the best in his squad.
Chelsea, which is currently struggling in the league’s early stages, is predicted to finish at the third or fourth place in the EPL.The main reason for this is the club’s coach Conte, who although is new to the English game, certainly knows how to win, as he picked up 3 consecutive titles with Juventus. Conte is a tough task master indeed.
Liverpool
Liverpool, which currently sits at the fourth place in the current season of the English Premier League, is predicted to finish in the 5th place.This club is the most successful of the various European football teams, althoughas far as Premier League is concerned, it has not won even a single domestic title. This can be surely due to some strange quirkiness and the dominance of a Manchester rival.
However, this time the Reds can finally shine in the EPL. Liverpool is one of the top five teams in this season and has a lot of chances to seize the title, owing to a strong squad, good manager, high intensity, good organization, and good football. JurgenKlopp, the German manager of the team, has an energetic style to challenge any level of the game. Plus, the club has defenders like RagnarKlavan and Joel Matip.
Although, the 2016-17 season of the Premier League is quite hard to predict and speculate which team will lift the title in the current season of the English Premier League, we still have made some guesses depending on the current performance of the teams.
